Orchard Fruit
"The meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit."
We love the sentiment behind these words... but we also hope to one day sit under the shade of our newly planted orchard!
During the winter of 2020-21, we planted an orchard of 48 trees - 22 apple, 10 pear, 9 plum and 7 cherry.
It's hard to imagine that these little sticks will one day provide enough shade under which to sit, but this leap of faith feels like the very definition of hope.
In the years to come, we will invite you to come and picnic under the trees, and share in the bounty that they will (hopefully!) provide.
In the meantime, follow along with us as these little sticks mature!
